AUTUMN TERM


We do hope you have had a great summer!  And with autumn on the way it's time for the start of our new term.


As usual all your favourite teachers will be back in action at venues across South Norfolk.  And we are very pleased to have Laura joining the team!

Nutts About Pilates offers Pilates classes in South Norfolk at seven different centres coaching mat-work Pilates at various levels, from complete beginners to advanced.

 

Pilates is a series of carefully controlled exercises which will build your inner 'core' strength and help the way you move, exercise and work. It's a great way of relieving stress and tension and can dramatically improve strength, flexibility, tone, posture and coordination.

 

Carin Nutt is a fully certfied rehabilitation Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institue (APPI).  


The APPI is a very highly regarded form of Pilates training in which the original 34 pilates mat-work exercises have been modified to incorporate the latest research on lumbar instability, muscle imbalance and adverse neural tension.  Modified Pilates is the culmination of years of both physiotherapy and pilates training and the 'APPI Method' is a world leader in its field, taught across 10 countries with well over 20,000 allied health professionals having undergone training in the method (see www.ausphysio.com).    


Together with colleagues Sue Palmer, Jo Douglas, Charlotte Harrison and Laura Park, Carin offers mat-work Pilates classes at three venues in South Norfolk - Hempnall Village Hall, the Parish Rooms, Rockland St Mary, and the Willow Centre, Cringleford, just outside Norwich (where we offer a specialist class for cyclists).  Jo also offers weekly classes at Wacton and Weybread while Sue gives weekly classes at Broome and Bungay.

 

We have a programme of weekly Pilates classes for both men and women and we also run a weekly beginners' class.

 

We believe that Pilates classes should not only be an effective form of exercise, they should also be fun too. Our clients enjoy the social side of their classes as much as the exercises and we are proud of their loyal support - many have been coming to our classes year after year, and some since we started in 2007!

 

Our classes are open to all ages but we specialise in providing instruction for more mature clients, many of whom are retired. We have found that Pilates is an ideal form of exercise for the older client and, by improving core strength and flexibility, we have been delighted by the improvements it is has made to many people's quality of life.
