What is Pilates

Pilates was developed in the early 1920s by the physical trainer Joseph H Pilates. It is a gentle, low-impact method of exercise which concentrates on building your body's core strength and improving muscle-tone and posture. It involves a series of low repetition mat-work exercises to improve core stability, strengthen abdominal and pelvic muscles, improve spinal mobility and achieve an overall sense of well-being.

Pilates works by building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. It's a great way of relieving stress and tension and can dramatically improve strength, flexibility, tone, posture and coordination.

Pilates is acknowledged to be beneficial for helping a wide number of conditions including back complaints, reduced range of movement in the shoulder, general postural problems and balance. Because it is gentle and non-aerobic it can be performed by people of all ages and levels of fitness, men and women.

" 10 sessions you'll feel a difference, in 20 sessions you'll see the difference, after 30 sessions you'll have a whole new body..."
